Love: Covenant or Convenient?

‘Love one another, as I have loved you.”

In Gods Kingdom He sets all the standards including the one for love.

‘This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you.’ [John 15:12]

When we start living by His standard, we will not have to worry about speaking evil of each other.

We will be able to confront each other with a love that is protective, true, and seeks only the best.

There are two types of love; covenant love, and convenient love.

Convenient love is, “I will love you as long as I get what I want.’ However,

Covenant love is, ‘I am committed to loving you in spite of your shortcomings, 
because God put us together.”

What brought us together is stronger than what is trying to pull us apart.

Paul prayed that our love will “increase and overflow for each other…”[1Th3:12].
Overflowing love! Increasing love! To meet that standard you must cleanse your heart,

Get your motivation right, and move to a higher level of commitment.

A cord of 3 strands is not quickly broken

“Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:

If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.

But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!

Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?

Though one may be overpowered,
